Thursday through Saturday Genealogy and vendors were open, and classes
were held. The hospitality room was the site for demonstrations of
preparing Norwegian specialities like almond cake, krumkake, and of course lefse (with sampling!) throught out the stevne. Special activities each day included: Thursday Opening session: Dr. Karen V Hansen "Norwegian Immigrant and Native American Encounters" Tour to Norskedalen & Coon Prairie Church Hadeland Lag meal & annual meeting at La Crosse Center Friday Banquet featuring "The Tronder Boys" from Trondelag, Norway Saturday Vesterheim Museum Tour Riverboat Dinner Cruise Sunday Closing Session: Gracia Grindal Music by "Stouthearted Men" from Osseo and Whitehall areas of Wisconsin |
