Jan Heusinkveld watches two of the youngest  Wergeland Dancers from the LaCrosse Sons of Norway make their way to the stage. 

Thursday afternoon, Pastor Ron Nowland took us on a "slide trip" to Turkey and Istanbul, where Nordic Runes have been found on a balcony in Haggia Sophia. Here, he models an intricate runic sweater designed by his wife.

Janet Letnes Martin, whose books about growing up as a Norwegian American have kept folks laughing for over 25 years, rounded out the Friday night program.

On Saturday afternoon, members of the Hadeland Lag joined other stevne attendees on bus tours of Fillmore and Houston County, where Norwegian pioneer churches and the Peterson Museum provided a look into the past. 

After the Bunad parade at the Saturday night banquet,  the crowd was serenaded by a barbershop quartet.

Tina & Lena introduced us to stevne attendees 'Barbara Bush' and 'Martha Stewart' -- and included a few other audience members in their performance!
