Høst Samling 2024
Friday-Saturday, October 18-19, 2024

Friday, October 18th, 2024
Friday afternoon we visited the Stoughton Historical Society Museum.
The museum is housed in what was Stoughton's first church, Stoughton Universalist Church,
built in 1858 of local Wisconsin cream brick.
There was a special exhibit for 2024 on rosemaling, featuring the
artistic works of important Stoughton residents Per Lysne and Ethel Kvalheim
who are credited with reviving and advancing this beautiful art form.

Friday evening dinner together was held at 5:30 pm at Viking Brew Pub on Main St.
The pub features beer brewed in house and the marvelous Viking ship bar,
stools and tables made by a local craftsman.

Saturday morning was the Hadeland Lag of America Annual Meeting at the Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge in Stoughton.

After the Annual Meeting, the famous Stoughton High School Norwegian Dancers
performed for us at the Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge in Stoughton.

After a delicious meatball lunch served by the Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge,
the group had the opportunity to visit the Livsreise Heritage Center and explore
the variety of unique, independent shops in downtown Stoughton. Lodging at the
Quality Inn & Suites Stoughton provided all of our out of town Hadeland Lag guests
with a place to rest after all of our activities.
