2000 Fall Meeting
September 23, 2000 - Golf Club, Canton SD
Robert Rosendahl presided over the meeting, and showed some of the gifts received by the Lag on their visit to Norway. A donation was sent to the Hadeland Folkemuseum. Murray Rowe and Harlan Hoff of Bid-Well Concrete Pavers gave a presentation and showed a video of their products and of the work they did in building the Chunnel between England and France. After a great lunch, the group toured the historic Kennedy House. Archie Gubberud, former governor of South Dakota and a Hadelending, has given much of his memorabilia to the public library and it is displayed in the "Gubberud Room" there. From there, the tour continued to Canton Lutheran Church, which was built in 1909. The day ended with coffee and cake back at the Golf Club.
