Eighty-eight people went to
Hadeland for the stevne leaving from Hector Airport in Fargo ND on June
21st.
Friday, June 22: There was a tour of Jevnaker Glassworks, Kveldsrud dairy farm, the Bandernes house with entertainment by Jevnaker bondelag dancers. Boat trip on Randsfjord cancelled due to strong winds. Met at Sanner for food, music and song. Celebrating the longest day of the year. Saturday, June 23: Hadeland Lag business meeting; bus trip to Bislingen, Lunner and entertained by the Lunner Association dancers, tour of Hadeland along historic King's Highway; bus tour to Røykenvik Bay at the north end of Randsfjorden. Again the lake was too rough for a boat trip. Sunday, June 24: Church services at Nicolai Church. the KK Men's Chorus sang several numbers, the Hadeland band performed. Rev. Casper Nervig, a Hadeland Lag member, brought a greeting in both Norwegian and English. Program at the Hadeland Folk Museum. An "American Stevne" program included the Hadeland Band, dancers, ensembles, baton girls and a lady ventriloquist. Their hospitality was like the red carpet rolled out for the Hadeland Lag members. A huge crowd turned out for the festivities. Monday, June 25: Those who signed up for the 6 day Norway tour (25-30 folks) met at the Roa train station.
