Hello members of Hadelandlag! I'm a 15 year old girl from Hadeland, I want to get contact with some American or English people, that have Norwegian ancesteors... My school is on Harestua, in Lunner. We have about 150 students at our school, or at the junior high school. I'm looking forward to get mail from you! =)
Hello members of Hadeland Lag! I live in Hadeland, in a little place called Grua... Maybe you guys would like to know more about Hadeland...? Is anyone interested in contacting me?
Hello.. This is a nice site.. from Norway..
Oh good mugu here
More comments about the geography of Hadeland: "Lake Mjosa" lies to the east of Hadeland, not to the west as it says in the text. Hadeland" does not "includes large, untouched woodlands." Its true that large areas are forests, but they are used for commercially purposes. It's not "untouched woodlands"
The geographypart of this website is not quite right. Hadeland does not actually reach as far north as the discription says. You should rewrite the last part about the scenic mountains. They are not part of Hadeland. (Although we can see the moutains from Hadeland.) Petter, Lunner-Hadeland
This was a very interesting website. When you live at Hadeland it's good to know that other people in the world are so interested in this place that they make a website about it. Thank you very much! Petter Hagen (31)
My mother was born on the Voien farm in Gran, and emigrated to the US in 1914. Her maiden name was Ragna Molden.
Just researching my family name.
My daughter is working on a family history project for school. I need to find out more about my mother's maiden name, Lehne. Her father's name was Oscar Lehne. He farmed for many years by Appleton MN, U.S.A. He married Verna Grunholtz. Not sure of the spelling on Verna's last name.
What a find!! My g-g grandfather, Endre H. Molden came from Hadeland to Milan, MN in 1880. I believe his children, Gulbrand, Hans,Christian and Karen came with him. I am assuming that they came from the Molden farm in Hadeland, but would like to confirm that. His Norweigen name may have been Hanson. Many thanks for the web site
nice page found it when i was looking for my ansesthers.
Hello ! Nice to find this site. Found it by searching "Bjoralt" - that is what I do frequently. If its anybody over there who's got any information on anchestors named Bjoralt, I've be pleased to hear from you. Right now I'm sitting by my PC and at the same time I can See out of my window toward north, were I know a whole family i 1854 went to America. The northen light is just now shining over a clear starry night, - brings kinda eternity feeling, bounding me somewhat to those who left. What were for insance their last spoken word before leaving ? To whom did they say farewell. Thank you for letting me visit the guestbook, and don't hesetate in sending me an e-mail on the topic or any.! Gudbrand (40)(farmer)

I think that this will be an interesting site to spend some time on.
Just checking in at the site again after my visit to Norway where I met Geir Arne Myhrstuen (Jevnaker) and Johan Grini (Gran) and discussed our common ancestry. My grandfathter, John Mortensen Molden, came from one of the Molden farms in Gran.
Interesting website. Was happy to secure some information on early ancestors (Michael H and Thorwald Froslee) regarding emigration dates and ships they arrived on.
We visited Hadeland last fall, Sept 11 to be exact, and enjoyed it. I hope to return soon.
Thank you for creating this website! We visited Hadeland in 2000 with Verlyn Anderson's tour, and we are looking forward to returning to beautiful Norway someday soon. The photos on this site bring back many memories.

My last name is Hadeland and was curious to look up the name and found your website!
Hans G. Koller who immigrated to Richland County, Wisconsin in 1850 was my gr. gr. Grandfather. The Koller farm is located just ouside of Gran. Lars Koller resides there today. I would be interested in hearing from other Koller relatives.
I really enjoyed this website and found much handy information here in my research. I was a little disappointed in the history part only because it does not explain the way land was rented or inheritance laws and so on. I think that would be very helpful. Your link page is a real goldmine though and will no doubt find what I am looking for somewhere among those sites, along with much other census and other information. I think I am lucky to have turned up such a great place to start my work. Keep up the good work and this is just a suggestion and no criticism. This is one of the more interesting places I've found. Tusen Takk!
I am looking forward to reading more about this site and joining the association. My great-grandmother, Anne Marthe Pedersdtr Hole of Gran Parish, Oppland and her family immigrated to Lincoln Co., SD in 1869. I am now compiling a full genealogical history of her ancestry.
Great great grandson of Hans Pedersen Wigen Lauvbraaten and Mårthe Paalsdatter Skari Lauvbraaten who emigrated to the United States from the area northwest of Brandbu in Gran in 1849. Their eldest daughter, Kjersti, was my great grandmother. Her baptismal record from Gran in 1845 gives her parents' surname as Svinningesett.
Great site. Keep up the good work!
As a first generation American (came to the US full time in 1991) it is nice to meet other Hadelendinger on the net

A great start for your new site. Wish you good luck for the future development of the site, and guess that I will visit the place often. Congratulations!
BRAVO ! - Verlyn and all of you others.... VERY nicely & professionally built-up Web Site ! - with plenty of useful and accurate information about Hadeland, both in Norway and "in the U.S." Also a great number of useful links to be found here... however with a possible exception from that one to the "Gjøvik-Toten Slektshistorilag".... not a lot of Hadeland-stuf is to be found there, actually .... as the "Gjøvik-Toten" lag is just a division of the county-covering "Vestoppland Slektshistorielag", ("The Vestoppland Genealogical Association") which have all together four subdivisions, namely HADELAND, VALDRES, LAND & GJØVIK/TOTEN. So my suggestion is; replace that link to the Gjøvik/Toten branch with the one to the main "Vestoppland Slektshistorilag" home-page, which adress is: http://home.lakenet.no/vshl/ Otherwise, as allready stated, a really great piece of work has been carried out here, it all looks beautiful indeed ! Congratulations ! - dear friends.
