* A Prost is much like a Dean in the Episcopal Church (Anglican Church in England) in the United States. In Norway, the Prost is a pastor in charge of an area which includes several parishes. Usually he/she is the pastor in the largest congregation of that area. Ragnar Granaasen is the pastor of the Gran Parish and Prost of the Gran & Land areas.
